The Georgetown School of Music has taught over 5,000 students in Ontario to play musical instruments since 1996. The Halton Region-based musical school provides drumming lessons, piano lessons and guitar lessons for children of all ages. In addition to teaching kids how to sing, they also offer violin and Celtic fiddle classes.
The Georgetown School of Music teaches kids as young as 3, 4 and 5 how to play the piano. During "preschool piano classes" youngsters learn the basics of the piano, and become familiar with elementary notes, rhythm and melody. These classes are kept small, and last about a half hour. Of course, all-ages piano and keyboard lessons are also offered by the Georgetown School of Music too.
Singing lessons offered by the Georgetown School of Music teach students how to breathe properly, how to increase their range, proper pitch, how to project, and stage presence. There are four performance recitals each year where students showcase their vocal abilities to crowds.
The Georgetown School of Music also offers private and group acoustic guitar lessons, electric guitar classes and bass guitar instruction. Violin and Celtic fiddle lessons are also available, where students learn posture and hand positioning. During the music school's drumming lessons, students ages 8 and older learn to master the pedal and high hat on drum kits and practice pads.
