The ecoMentors Program trains and provides support to high school volunteers to deliver fun and engaging environmental education activities to elementary school youth.
ecoMentors develop valuable job skills, fulfill volunteer requirements, and gain work experience. Elementary school classrooms receive curriculum-linked materials and benefit from an energetic and trained mentor.
ecoMentors receive an Earth Day Canada/Mountain Equipment Co-op reward package and a work/school reference for completing four or more classroom visits.
High school students can sign up for a training session and elementary school teachers can sign up as a host classroom by registering online or by e-mailing program manager Jason Kun at the link above.
