Jackie Carroll is highly regarded for her portraiture, technical skills and her ability to capture the essence within.

Although Jackie has a high degree of realism in her portraiture, whether it is of people, animals or memorable landscapes, the true nature of her subject still radiates forth from the canvas.

Jackie was a top finalist at the International Arts Portrait Festival and has had successful solo and group shows throughout Ontario. Her original images in oil, pastel and watercolor can be found in art collections across North America, England, Germany and Thailand.

Jackie is artist/author of the book, Muskoka Boathouses, which features forty of her original pastel paintings and a written history of each subject. Her portraiture is now executed in the oil painting medium and samples of her portraiture can be viewed on her website.

Jackie works from photographs, which if possible are taken by her of the subject or subjects.
